The deadliest volcano which had reportedly influenced climate change worldwide in the past history after two years of long span. The Krakatoa volcano situated on the island of Anak Krakatao off the coast of Indonesia is again erupted on the 10th of April spewing plumes of ashes over 500 meters into the atmosphere. Two consecutive eruptions were reported by Indonesia’s Volcanology Centre on Friday 10th April. Loud rumbles of sound were heard 150 kms away in the capital city of Jakarta. The eruption continued until 11th April. Situated in the Sunda strait in Indonesia, Krakatoa is one of the most deadliest and active volcanoes in the world. The volcano is existing in the form of a Caldera in the Sunda strait situated between the island of Java and Sumatra in the Indonesian province of Lampung. The island is a part of four volcanic island groups known as Anak Krakatau.

The recent eruption is believed to be the biggest new after a dormant period of 2 years. In December 2018, Krakatoa eruption had killed over 400 people with partial collapse of the caldera. The much deadliest form was seen way back in 1883, when its violent eruption created huge Tsunami waves of over 42 meters of heights in the Sunda strait killing over 36000 people.
